Under new ownership! Great live bands, trivia night, and on Sunday's they have a mimosa bar. My husband and I have been on many occasions and the service is great. Wings are his favorite and I love the sweet potato fries.

Me and my girlfriend went there for lunch and the price was very good and the food was pretty good also. The place a a really cool decor. Plus its really big once you walk inside. The wait staff was nice and courteous.

My husband and I went to watch a jazz band; we did not get acknowledged and also could not get served at the bar so we sat down with the Gulf Jazz Society and then we had a waitress. I ordered the chicken caesar salad which was very good; it came with garlic toast and 4 tomato wedges. The drink prices were good as well; we ordered Guinness and Blue Moon. The band was very entertaining. PS However, I did have a coupon that the owner refused to honor which was disappointing.

The decorating is funky and cool. The restrooms are clean. The food is mediocre. We've been there 3 or 4 times. The last time we were served salads, which according to the menu, were romaine lettuce. It was iceberg lettuce, which my wife is allergic to. They refused to fix this, made us pay for it, and were rude in the process. We will never eat here again, and will never recommend it to anyone.

The food is pretty good and the service is great. The place is a little loud and I feel if they put up some well placed sound board it could make a huge difference. Otherwise the prices are fair. The restrooms are clean and there's plenty of seating for a large group or a couple of people.

Good music and bar for meeting up and socializing in the evenings (not really a "young" crowd though). The service is always great and every one is friendly. The Place is somewhat lacking with their dinner menu options though. As a vegetarian, I'm limited to about 2 items, neither of which are ever very good. A few years ago they had more options and I wish they would add some more!

Came here for the towns "Oktoberfest." FYI, the whole oktoberfest was a JOKE, but The Place tried to cater to this event as best they could. TRY is the key word. We came with a party of 7 adults and 4 kids(well behaved angels mind you). Every table was full except the ENTIRE BACK HALF OF THE RESTAURANT. If you are the ONLY place in the entire OKTOBERFEST that has classic German dishes, you should expect to have the whole resaurant open! They would NOT let us sit back there, under no circumstance, no matter how much pleading would they let us sit back there. It wasn't "open". We end up waiting about 10 min for 2 tables, completely separate...glad I could visit my sis and her family once a year to have to sit at different tables...awesome. Thanks Place. And then the kicker is this, THREE things: 1. They opened up the back not 5 minutes after we were sitting down, so that the local drunks could party and take up the whole place. 2. They ran out of BRATWURST. People, please hear me....THEY RAN OUT OF BRATWURST. You might as well have an Oktoberfest and say, sorry, we ran out of beer. They weren't apologetic, they didn't care. At all. 3. I had the jaeger schnitzel with potato salad and red cabbage. I didn't mind the cabbage, a tad to sweet i think. BUT, my schnitzel...after seeing many other diners enjoying a large delicious cutlet, came out. And it must have lost half its body weight on the trip from the kitchen to the plate. It was TINY. Seriously, at this point I think they are doing it on purpose. I think they just didn't like my face or something, or maybe it was because I was the only person(aside from one nice older couple) wearing a Oktoberfest hat. Maybe they just hated my hat. I can't judge them for their everyday typical food and service. But on this day, I don't think I've had worse service or obvious lack of care for a customer. I bid you good day sir!

I ordered a Grace burger and a diet Pepsi. I left after over half an hour of waiting for my burger which never came! While there, I found out the bar tender can't make a fuzzy navel, when another customer wanted one! Their one redeeming value is that they are very nice. That joint would be a great one for the tv show "Bar Rescue"!

I love The Place! The burgers are awesome and the staff is very friendly! My favorite burger is the Harrison, but everything I've tried has been very good. They have great drink prices and a full bar. I work in downtown Panama City and love that we have so many great local restaurants around.

Very mediocre. Nothing really made 'The Place' stand out from its competitors. The atmosphere was ok, located as it was in an old building in downtown Panama City. The decor was a bit outdated, with plastic plants and knick-knacks covering the walls. The crowd was definitely on the older side, but I could see someone could find it appealing to hang out at the bar, which appeared to be well-stocked. The dining room was a lot bigger than it appeared from the street, but The Place also has a popular patio for dining. Service during my visit was very informal, and the servers seemed more interested in chatting with the regulars than helping the rest of the diners. They were very friendly when they were around, however. As for the food, my burger (the "Grace Burger") was perfectly adequate but unremarkable. It was clearly made on a griddle or maybe in a broiler. Very plain, flavorless meat. The toppings (cheese, bacon, peppers, onions, and mushrooms) are what made the burger as edible as it was. The fries were almost definitely the frozen, bagged variety. Again, very plain, and not a generous portion either (almost a mercy, come to think of it). The bottom line is that I would be very unlikely to return to The Place. It's been in business for 20 years, so someone must like it, but for the rest of us the limited menu, mediocre service, and flavorless food just don't warrant a return visit, even in an area of Panama City with few dining options.

Came for dinner during Friday Fest last month. It was packed! So finding a table was slightly difficult and confusing since it was seat yourself, but once we found a table everything was great. The service was good, and so was the food. Loved the quaint little restaurant and the atmosphere. Will def be returning.

The Beach Drive Burger and fries were average in taste but were room temperature by the time they made it to the table. It was an older crowd for a Saturday night - and by older I mean several years of social security eligibility.

The food was decent here. The portabella burger and the roast beef french dip was tasty too. The fries and chicken fingers didn't seem fresh though. Like they had just been heated up. The service was great from the patio staff, but it was smoky and a bit loud out there even with only four tables. We had our two year old daughter with us and there were other young children outside. I wish they had let smokers sit somewhere else or had a larger outdoor seating area.

Got a Jenks Burger, sweet potato fries, and a Sweet Tea. The burger was good, nothing to write home about, but satisfied my burger needs. The sweet potato fries were also good, dusted with cinnamon & sugar. The sweet tea was also a-ok. It is a good little lunch place right smack dab in the middle of downtown. Nothing to get too excited about but will definitely serve you quickly, efficiently, and without much fuss. If you are looking for an experience for lunch, go elsewhere, if you just want to eat, The place satisfies. One member of my party got the Greek Gyro and was dissapointed - everyone else got burgers and enjoyed them.
